In our culture, a taboo surrounds the topic of the emotional hurt that comes from abortion. This is even true in church. Many secretly and silently carry a burden of shame, regret, and guilt. Prepare a Room Ministries is broaching the topic in the public square so that those who are hurting can start on a path to healing. We understand that full forgiveness and healing can be found in Jesus.

This event is not about the politics of abortion but is instead an open door for people who have no one to talk to about their emotional hurt, so they can begin healing and be loved and not condemned. We also welcome those who have suffered loss of the unborn through other causes besides abortion.

At the event, we unveiled the 35-foot Foundlings Abortion Memorial Quilt, which ministers with 500 artistically imagined faces of the unborn, all extending the invitation to come be forgiven and healed.

Testimonials

It was holy. There was an atmosphere. It is a beautiful pattern that should be replicated over and over in various places.

I found relief. I found joy.

I’m very impressed at the way you were able to navigate such a controversial polarizing topic in such a way that you ignore all the different ways we can end up being angry, and you focus on healing and getting people to a place where they can understand the good news of the gospel.

I came with two friends who both said they felt they had “been to church” following the beautiful worship service. One of them brought a woman who is ready to attend a healing class. She was very touched by your testimony and the quilt. Another woman who has been healed through a PACE class searched the quilt to find her son who is in heaven, and she found him pictured on the quilt. She was so blessed by this gift from God.

The peace and presence of the Lord was thick there. It couldn’t have been done better. I can’t say enough good about how things were done.

Lives were changed and I got to witness it.

I am still resting in the beautiful Foundling Quilt. It is amazing and very impactful. It needs to be seen.

I’m just thankful for this, for the impact that this has, and I do think that this morning there’s an opportunity to change the lens of the way we see things.
